Uncontacted Tribes

These photographs were obtained by Survival International show uncontacted Indians in detail. This tribe lives in Brazil, near the Peruvian border. It was featured in the “Jungles” episode of BBC1’s “Human Planet” in the United Kingdom.

Indian Affairs Department of Brazil took these photos that are authorized to be used as part of its campaign to protect tribe’s territory. On pictures, you can see a successful, healthy community that grows papaya and manioc in its gardens.

Right now the tribe’s survival is in danger. The influx of loggers is pushing uncontacted Indinas from Peru into Brazil, making it possible for the two groups to get into conflict.
