Space Vacation - Orbiting Hotel Ready for Guests by 2016

The age of space tourism might be closer than you think. In fact, if you have an extra $1 mil¬lion lying around, five years from now you could be one of the first off-world adven¬tur¬ers to stay for five days in this orbit¬ing hotel built by Russ¬ian com¬pany Orbital Tech¬nolo¬gies. You’ll get there via a Russ¬ian Soyuz rocket, tak¬ing you about a day to reach the Com¬mer¬cial Space Sta¬tion 217 miles above the earth. Once you catch up to the orbit¬ing abode, you’ll set¬tle in with your com¬rades — up to six other space tourists (or researchers) — for an unpar¬al-leled adven¬ture, resid¬ing in four cab¬ins aboard the space station.
